The Phone Box!

So – the British Telecom box became surplus to requirement, and the Parish Council bought it for £1.

Kenn Pride offered to undertake the renovation, and provided both the materials and the manpower.  Hartley, Jane, Sizzle and Hazel stripped, undercoated and primed and finally top-coated the poor old box.  Cleaning the inside was not a job for the squeamish…

Ideas for using the box are many – the Parish Council mooted using it as a notice board – but villagers have suggested a book lending library, a seasonal mannequin, a produce exchange…

February 2014 – the Parish Council has decided to put the village defibrillator in the old phone box, so we’ll have to find somewhere else for our daft ideas.
